I have the soul of an artist and look for ways to transform brokenness into beauty. Counseling is one of my favorite places to enact that trait.

Attachment theory explains that we learn who we are and how to be okay in the context of healthy relationships. I offer a soft place for belonging and connectedness so others can first find their steadiness and then focus on their unique purpose.

Internal Family Systems Therapy helps us see that we are not powerless against pain or poor habits, because we can heal the parts of us whose unmet needs cause us to feel stuck.

My personal hope for good and tenderness toward others comes from a belief that God cares for us and desires to show us a life of freedom and fullness.

Like the Statue of Liberty offering to be a “Mother of Exiles” to those who are weary and longing for freedom, I want to extend this miraculous hope to you no matter where you are in your own spiritual, cultural, and life journey.

My work focuses on supporting teens, college students, young adults, women, and couples.

I am a licensed professional counselor.

Let me know how I can join you in finding your own hope, freedom, and beauty.

Michael Lamke

MS, MDiv., LMFT-S

I am an adventurer, with a passion for leading others to the true things about themselves. I crave the experience of feeling deeply connected and alive, especially with others. I see myself as a relational sherpa, adventurously engaging others, pointing out a way, and guiding them on the elaborate, complicated, and often amazing journeys of their lives. My deepest hope is that we will all find soul-level peace within our individual lives and within the relationships that we have been given. Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy has helped me, as a therapist, believe that this is possible. IFS offers that we have a Self from which our life energy flows, possessing the ability to calm and heal our emotional and relational wounds. I believe that the Self is the place within us that knows and is drawn to God. As we relocate our vulnerabilities and pain to this place of connection and strength we are empowered to find healing. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in guiding men from late teens to late adulthood. I also meet with couples, helping them find meaningful expressions of their relationship. I would love to guide you along this path in your own life, no matter your starting point.
