Our thoughts on life and Christian counseling

We, Christine and Michael, are individuals who find deep purpose in loving others in the unique, often sensitive, and vulnerable spaces of their lives.

We arrive at this from the example that Jesus embodied in everything that He did. He is a friend who sees our pain, joins us in our suffering, celebrates joyously with us in our triumphs, and knows our deepest thoughts. He is with us.

Jesus fills the voids of what is missing in our lives, and He refreshes the depleted places of exhausted life efforts. He removes confusion and doubt, stands in strength against the wrongs that we have endured, and, at the end of the day, invites us to find rest from it all.

We desire that others know these places of freedom and healing in their own lives.

As we engage in the counseling process with you, we may draw from Biblical truths and share them in sessions. We will never use these truths to shame or burden you. They are meant to free and unburden you. If your preference is to not bring the teachings of the Bible into your sessions, we respect that.

You do not have to possess a belief in God or follow Christianity in order to visit with us.

Jesus never required such things before helping others, and neither will we.

We promise to meet you with courage and compassion.

You may have pain from past religious experiences. If this is the case for you, we have been there, too. Please don’t let problematic or painful elements of your religious past block new opportunities for growth and healing.

Finally, all people have some experience of spirituality within them – connecting with nature, enjoying art and music, eating a great meal, loving the people around you, yearning for goodness and peace, practicing faith, etc. Bring these experiences with you in everything you do. They give life.

We hope to share in this life with you!

We would love to spend time with you.
